Dog walking in Selkirk

Selkirk is the quietest of the four towns to walk a dog in, which is exactly why some of our clients are here. If your dog needs space from other dogs, the Ettrick riverside and the Haining give you that on most days of the week.

  • Fully insured
  • Canine first aid trained
  • PVG checked
  • Never more than 4 dogs
  • Photos from every walk

Where we walk in Selkirk

Routes chosen for the dog and the day, not just whatever is nearest the van.

The Haining

Loch, parkland and mature woodland a few minutes from the town centre. Circular, well-drained and forgiving on older joints.

Selkirk Hill and the Three Brethren

Open hill walking with real views. Reserved for adventure walks and dogs with recall we have tested, not taken on trust.

The Ettrick Water path

Flat riverside walking south of the town. Rarely busy, which makes it our first choice for reactive dogs on solo walks.

Philiphaugh and Bowhill estate paths

Waymarked estate tracks with good surfaces year-round. Estate rules on dogs are posted and we follow them.

Streets and areas we cover

Bannerfield, Philiphaugh, Shawburn, Ettrickbridge and the Back Row — and anywhere else in Selkirk within a sensible drive of the round.
